Langbrók is inspired by the most famous female person in Njáls Saga, Hallgerður Langbrók. In a patriotic world she was flirtatious, extremely proud, with long hair and mischievous eyes. She got married three times and none of them could fulfill her high expectations about love. All of them gave her a slap in the face and because of that she had them all killed. In her mind these slaps were unforgivable. Three husbands, three hands in one face, three times a widow, she lived her later years alone at Laugarnes in Reykjavík, watching the same sunset at nights, as we do today in Reykjavík.
Originally Langbrók was made for the KIT dance-festival in Copenhagen 1999. Later on performed at National Theater Reykjavik 2000, Nordwind festival Berlin 2007, Theatre-dance festival Bourgas, Bulgaria 2007 etc.
